Powder Coating
Powder coating is a finishing process that uses powder for a durable, decorative coating which is applied to products being used by consumers in the industry. Powder coating is available in a wide variant of colors. Aside from the fact that it is economical, powder coating is very popular due to its rust free and scratch resistant finish. It was in 1967 when powder coating was invented. Over 10% of North American finishing applications in the industry uses powder coating technology. The process of powder coating uses powder, or sometimes, dry paint which is a synergy of pigment and resin particles. These are electrostatically charged and are applied to the item through spray. After this, the item is baked which melts the dry paint. This is the stage when the dry paint adheres itself to coat the item. Hard coating is known for being chip resistant. Aside from that, colors for powder coating do not fade easily. They come with high or low gloss, and can either be metallic or clear finish depending on your preference. No comments yet...
